Rosenthal drove all the way to the neighbourhood’s highest contact centre.
This was the intelligence receiving centre for their missions and the military contact point where they could urgently contact people on missions outside.
“Turn on the emergency contact system immediately and connect to Butler Ryan urgently!”
Beep …… beep …… beep, drip!
“Greetings! This is the temporary operator for Housekeeper Ryan, please ……”
Only an officer’s voice could be heard ringing out slowly on the other side of the intercom.
“Cut the crap for the old man, go find Housekeeper Ryan and connect immediately, and tell him that Mr. Morin has been waiting around the block for a long time!”
